What is Fisher House?

Fisher House is a home-away-from-home for military members, veterans, and their families and those who are eligible to utilize Fisher Houses at no cost while they receive medical treatment, care or support.

Who donated Fisher House?

Two enthusiastic supporters of the U.S. military–Zachary and Elizabeth Fisher–donated Fisher House. They wanted to give military families a homey place to stay when a family member was hospitalized for critical care. Thanks to them, Fisher Houses are in operation supporting families wherever major military medical centers are found.

Who can stay here?

Each location has specific eligibility requirements. Please see each location page for more information and or contact the location you wish to stay directly​.

What services are offered?

The Fisher Houses have fully furnished bedrooms with private baths. The houses have well-stocked community kitchens and spacious dining and living areas. Features include in-room telephones and cable TV, Wi-Fi, laundry facilities and housekeeping services.

How much does it cost?

Families who meet the eligibility criteria and are accepted as guests stay without cost.

How do I apply?

To start the application please contact the Fisher House you wish to utilize for their specific process. If you have a case manager you may also contact them for assistance. Contact information for each House is as follows:
