Fisher House, Inc. Scholarships For Military Children and Heroes
In collaboration with Fisher House Foundation, a sponsorship was started in 2021 for students of military families at Lackland Air Force Base, Fort Sam Houston and Randolph Air Force Base. “As the second youngest of seven children (all of whom graduated or plan to attend college), my father often tells me that “I have a bad case of maltuition”. I am incredibly honored to be a 2021-2022 Scholarships for Military Children (SFMC) Scholarship recipient and am very grateful to the Fisher House for sponsoring my scholarship to study computer science at the University of Texas at Austin. Not only is it a burden lifted off my shoulders and my family’s shoulders, but an enormous source of encouragement that helps me persevere through the challenging parts of my classes because I know there are people who believe in me and are invested in my future.
