Fisher House, Inc., a non-profit charitable corporation (IRS Code 501(c)(3) established in 1991) manages and operates the Fisher Houses for the Air Force. Funding comes from corporate, group and individual donors, as well as from the local San Antonio area Combined Federal Campaign and the State Employee Charitable Campaign. Contributions are fully tax deductible. Donations of cash, goods, services and volunteer time are always needed to ensure that facilities and services remain free of charge for guests.
Volunteer your time and talent to help military families who are away from home while their loved ones receive medical treatment due to illness, disease, or injury.
They need your loving hearts and helping hands to support them through the services provided by Fisher House.
No amount of time is too short; no amount of talent is too small!
Volunteer opportunities include meal preparation for families, gardening, wish list donations, and special projects.
You might even think of something you'd like to do that we have missed!
The hours are flexible, the opportunities varied, the rewards great!!
